The historical background is very vibrant and glorious. The rulers of this region were very inclined towards art and culture and patronized them.

There are many places of pilgrimage with great mythological history.

One such is the temple of Lord Papahareshwara Swami or the Kadile temple. Located around 6kms from Dilawarpur village near Nirmal town. This historical place welcomes us with feast of serene and pious environment. The temple got its name, as it is believed that the idol of lord Papahareshwar slightly swings, hence “Kadile Papahareshwar”.

According to popular mythological legend, this where Parushurama (one of the incarnations of God Vishnu) retired for penance for attaining peace and tranquility, as he slaughtered his mother’s head and surrendered himself to the Lord “Papahareshwar” the god who wipes off all sins.
